Previous UK winners & losers The recent song writing competition was to find a song to be one of the potential entries for TV's Making Your Mind Up show, the winner of which will represent the UK in next year's Eurovision. We have a winner! I Wanna Man, written by Toby Jarvis, has been chosen out of the many entries as the best song. Sadly, it has been difficult to find just the right sort of artist that could do the song justice at Making Your Mind Up this year. However, the song will be going through to next year's MYMU. Here are the ten shortlisted songs that went through to the judging panel meeting on 26 January. The judging panel included (External) Mike Batt , (External) Simon Webbe , (External) Hugh Goldsmith , Stuart Maconie and Radio 2's Colin Martin and Mark Hagen. The panel considered carefully how each song might work as a Eurovision entry, and you can now hear their comments after each song on the links below. The first song, Slow Down Boy, starts with each member of the panel introducting themselves, so that you can put a name to a voice. 1. Slow Down Boy - Writers: Vernon Woodward/Darrell Woodward 2.
