Robin Gibb and Guy Chapman listen to the finalists Find out what our panel, Colin Martin, Editor Music, Radio 2, Beverly Knight, Robin Gibb, Guy Chapman and Graham Gouldman said about 'TXT Me'.
Graham Gouldman Janice Long : "Is there a possibility that Leon could give up the tele-sales job?" Graham Gouldman : "Definitely. When that chorus hit - you knew what was going to happen - but you didn't. It was just brilliant. I thought it was really great. I love the chorus. Lyrically it was an interesting idea and well handled…it went straight to the heart." Robin Gibb: I actually liked the song. To me it sounds like a hit record - it's an original idea. I think that could be a major hit record . Colin Martin :"I thought it was a video director's dream - it is so visual - very commercial, I absolutely agree with Robin that could be a hit" Beverley Knight :"The word is instant. That's it, straight away. It is obviously aimed at a younger audience and they want to understand the song as its going along and relate to it and who doesn't relate to picking up the moby and texting someone? You got it, you just got it straight away."
