If you struggle to reach the notes of your song try singing in a lower key. If you are unfamiliar with this, just hit a note on the guitar or keyboard and try to sing at that pitch. If it is too high, then hit a lower note. All songs are sung in a key which is the note that the song usually starts from and returns to in each verse.
As far as voice training is concerned you should visit your local music shops which usually have a list of voice coaches to choose from. Be careful who you select because they might not be suitable for your style of music and some charge excessively.

Hi,
I have never been anything as good as an opra singer but as far as normal singing is concerned I used to be able to reach some pretty high notes & sing along quite easily with cd's of artists such as Celine Dion, however for the last couple of years I have found that I am not able to get to the high notes like I used to & I think this is because I strained my voice by pushing it too hard & following the advice of non-professionals, I deeply regret not having some kind of training.
So follow this articles advice & get training from a professional if you have a good singing voice.
