Extended Outlooks 1800 UTC Wed 25 Nov to 1800 UTC Sat 28 Nov Issued by the Met Office, on behalf on the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, at 232300 UTC

Cullercoats A very deep low near the Shetlands on Wednesday evening will move northeast into the Norwegian Sea during Thursday, with a secondary low forming just north of Scotland early on Friday. This low then moves slowly east across the northern North Sea during Saturday. A new area of low pressure is expected to develop over Sole early on Saturday and then move east close to Cornwall by Saturday evening. The very unsettled and windy weather will therefore continue with strong winds or gales expected in all areas for most of the time, but winds are expected to slowly ease across all areas during Saturday. Severe southwesterly gales are likely during Wednesday evening and early on Thursday, then easing down later on Thursday

Niton A very deep low near the Shetlands on Wednesday evening will move northeast into the Norwegian Sea during Thursday, with a secondary low forming just north of Scotland early on Friday. This low then moves slowly east across the northern North Sea during Saturday. A new area of low pressure is expected to develop over Sole early on Saturday and then move east close to Cornwall by Saturday evening. The very unsettled and windy weather will therefore continue with strong winds or gales expected in all areas for most of the time, although the south of Fitzroy will only have strong winds at times. Elsewhere, severe west or southwest gales are likely at times, but winds may ease in Shannon, Fastnet and Irish Sea for a time early on Saturday

Portpatrick A very deep low near the Shetlands on Wednesday evening will move northeast into the Norwegian Sea during Thursday, with a secondary low forming just north of Scotland early on Friday. This low then moves slowly east across the northern North Sea during Saturday. A new area of low pressure is expected to develop over Sole early on Saturday and then move east close to Cornwall by Saturday evening. The very unsettled and windy weather will therefore continue with strong winds or gales expected in all areas for most of the time. Severe gales are likely for a time on Wednesday evening and early on Thursday before easing later on Thursday. Winds tending to ease down in most areas during Saturday
