Wanna enter Radio 1's Switch Live Competition to win tickets to Switch Live? You'll need to:
a) Take a look at the Terms and Conditions (below) first.
b) Listen to Radio 1 throughout the week for a chance to win!
1. Entry is open to all UK residents (incl. Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) aged 14-17, except BBC employees, any person connected to the competition and their close relatives. Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be requested.
2. Entrants can enter by calling 03700 100 100 when they hear the cue to call and the competition line will remain open for approximately 30 minutes. Standard geographic charges apply and calls may be included in your telecom provider's call package. Calls from mobiles may be higher
3. Entrants aged 14 and 15 must ensure they obtain parent/guardian permission to enter the competition.
3a. Entrants must ensure they obtain the bill-payer's consent before entering.
4. Entries received after the telephone lines have closed will not be accepted.
5. The production team will select from all the entrants the 3 most enthusiastic and lively to take part in the competition live on-air. The first contestant will be selected from the most enthusiastic entrants and be asked to sing the next line of a song from one of the artists performing at BBC Switch Live and if they recite the lyrics correctly they will win the prize. If any incorrect lyrics are sung, then the second caller will be given the opportunity and so on until the prize has been won.
5a. Contestants delivery of the line of the song must be word perfect. If it is unclear what has been sung, contestants will be asked immediately to repeat what they said.
5b. We will accept stumbling as contestants may be nervous
5c. If contestants ask to hear the clip again we will repeat it once.
5d. Any 'backing vocals' lyrics in the lines of the song will be optional to sing
6. Entrants who have won tickets in a previous round of the competition are excluded from re-entering the competition.
7. The BBC's decision as to the winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
8. The prizes are as described above. There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be sold or transferred in any circumstances.
9. The BBC will not reimburse the winners for any costs incurred in attending the event i.e. travel and accommodation.
10. Entrants to the competition must ensure they obtain parent/guardian permission to go to BBC Switch Live on the afternoon of Sunday 8th November. Tickets will not be allocated until the BBC has proof of this permission. The BBC will not be responsible for any failure by the ticket holders to gain entry or re-entry to the event due to the behaviour of the ticket holder or their failure to meet the admission requirements of the event.
11. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required.
12. The BBC reserves the right to: (i) vary the telephone line opening times of the competition; (ii) disqualify any entrant who breaches the rules or has acted fraudulently in any way; (iii) withdraw any prize, at any stage, should any winner or their guest exhibit inappropriate or dangerous behaviour (including, but not limited to being under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or chemical substances or causing a nuisance) and; (iv) cancel the competition, at any stage, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside its control.
13. The BBC, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem which may result in any entry being lost, not properly registered or tickets not arriving.

15. This competition accords with the BBC's Code of Conduct for Competitions and Voting, details of which can be found on the BBC'S Standards and Guidelines website.
16. The promoter of the competition is the British Broadcasting Corporation and the applicable law is the laws of England and Wales.
17. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when registering.
