Full details of all the changes are here .

What You Need to Do Programmes are commissioned by the genre teams.

The genres are drama, entertainment, factual, CBBC, sport and programme acquisition.

The genres handle the entire process - editorial, business, finance and delivery. Within each genre there is a single point of commission.

Programme requirements for the genres are updated regularly with development priorities.

Our sections on drama , entertainment , comedy , factual, CBBC , sport , and daytime show details of the commissioning teams and key steps in the commissioning process for each area.

Full information is available on our proposal requirements and our diversity commitment together with contact information .

After we commission, we'll be running regular pitchback sessions to explain our decisions.

The channels set the overall strategy and schedule and transmit the programmes you deliver. The genres meet the channels on a regular basis and will keep you updated about channel thinking.

Doing Business With Us Our business section provides full information on working with us - including the Code of Practice for the BBC's Dealings with the Independent Sector , our Terms of Trade and our Complaints procedure about the commissioning process.

Questions Our Questions section answers common questions on pitching ideas , programme-making and our quotas .

Interactive

Interactive TV
If your idea has an interactive application you should submit it to the genre team as normal.

Our interactive teams work with the genre teams to help develop the potential of your idea.

CBBC and Sport Animation

Sport and CBBC (which includes The CBBC Channel and CBeebies as well as CBBC services on BBC ONE and BBC TWO) are self-commissioning. Again, they have a single point of commission.
