Network/Region: If the programme will be transmitted throughout the entire network, this should be marked "Network". If the programme will only be transmitted in an English or National region this should be marked "Region".

Tape Number(s)

Include the main tape number (the number allocated by the BBC to the tape or cassette containing the programme material. It should not be confused with either the Programme Identification Number or Library Accessions Number.) and the backing tape number(s)

Contact details for the person responsible: (who is accountable for ensuring the programme's compliance with BBC Producer Guidelines.
Include a BBC Contact if an Independent Production

Note: The person responsible/BBC contact must ensure that they are available for contact at all times up to and during transmissions.

Note that Parental Rating is not currently required.

Programme Format/Technical Details

Broadcast Aspect Ratio: refers to the aspect ratio in which the programme is delivered. Please indicate whether the programme is 4x3, 14x9 letterbox, 16x9 letterbox or 16x9 anamorphic.
Analogue Service Display Mode: If the programme has been delivered in widescreen (16x9 full height anamorphic widescreen), it is essential that the correct display mode for 4x3 televisions is indicated. This information will be specified in your commissioning documents or contract. If unsure, please check with your commissioning contact
Tape format
Sound: Indicate whether the programme is Stereo, Mono, Surround Sound Stereo or Digital Surround Sound Stereo. If the majority of the programme is in stereo, this should be marked stereo, etc.
B&W/Colour: If the majority of the programme is in colour, this should be marked "colour".
Subtitles: Productions need to be aware of programme subtitles and indicate whether they exist or not; also whether they are live or recorded.
Audio description information is not currently required.
In-vision subtitles: Although this information is not required for the transmission of a programme, production may wish to note on the transmission form that subtitles exist on the tape e.g. English subtitles on a foreign film.

Opening and Closing Details

Our preferred configuration for the start and end of all delivered tapes is:

ident clock (as specified in the Technical Standards here ), until programme minus 3 seconds.
programme associated vision from programme minus 3 seconds until 0". (The ident clock must be silent from minus 10" to 0").
at the end of the programme, audio should fade naturally to silence, and vision should hold for 10 seconds. (This must be followed by 30 seconds of black and silence).
Any variation to the above must be shown on the Transmission Form.

Credits on BBC THREE Programmes

Transmission forms for BBC THREE programmes should confirm in detail the precise duration, format and the style of end credits used. E.g. 'End credits run for 15 seconds, including end card, are left justified and run from bottom to top over live action/still image/moving graphic.

Timing:

Please ensure the following sections are completed:

the time code for first sound and vision of programme - this should be 10:00:00:00
the exact duration of the programme not including the requested 10" vision hold.
the duration of end sequence timed from the appearance of the first written caption to the programme's end.

Durations should be expressed in minutes and seconds e.g. 89’00".
