New Compliance Policy

  • Always send your information as Microsoft Word attachments - don't send your paperwork simply as text typed or cut and pasted as part of your email
  • Your attachment filename should contain the Programme Number to which the paperwork relates.
  • Your attachment filename should always end with .doc
  • You may submit more than one .doc file in your email - if you're sending a week of paperwork for example, or sending us the Music Reporting, PasC or Scripts together
  • Each Document Type e.g. PasC, MRF or Script MUST be sent as a separate attachment file.
  • If you have more than one attachment per programme number and document type that we should index as a single file i.e. you want us to collate the pages together into one document, then please name each with ‘–1‘, ‘–2’ etc
  • If you have multiple versions of paperwork, for example, a PasC - one for national transmission and one for BBC Worldwide - then please use ’–nat’, ’–ww’ or something similar and explain in your email how you've named your files.
  • If you're sending us an amendment to a document you've already sent us before, then please add ’–amend’ to the filename
  • The case (upper or lower) of your filenaming is not important
  • With all emails, please be verbose in your explaination of documents attached - the more we know, the better the library can index your material
