CBBC Registration and Sign in

What does registering as a member mean?

Signing up to CBBC allows children to gain full access to all the following areas of the site:

What are these sections and what does being a member allow you to do?

Message boards - Members can post messages for everyone to see. Our message boards are pre moderated. This means that every message and every screen name is read by a Moderator before it is published to the site to ensure that members do not give away personal information.

myCBBC - A place where members can create their own a room (den) and customise it with furnishings. They can add friends (other members of CBBC) who can view their den. It does not allow children to communicate any information beyond pre defined text messages. There is a choice of approximately ten to twenty messages written by CBBC which children can choose from. The children are only identifiable to each other by their usernames.

Me and My Movie - The place for budding movie-makers. Members can upload films they have made to the site. All movies are watched by a Moderator before they are published to the site to ensure that they conform to strict online safety guidelines tailored to children. Members can comment on each other's films and these comments are also pre-moderated.

Bugbears - Where members can go to share their worries and troubles. Allows members to submit audio recordings which may then be animated by CBBC. All audio submissions are moderated and a selection are published to the site. Members can comment on each other's Bugbears and these comments are also pre-moderated.

Cartoon Works - An online cartoon factory where users can find out about the cartoons showing on CBBC as well as playing games and collecting points. Signing in allows users' progression through the factory to be saved.

BAMZOOKi - Members create their own online creatures with which they can compete against other users' creations. The names for all the creatures submitted are moderated before appearing on the site. Signing in allows users' creations to be saved.
