The streets of Paris have been decorated with sparkling lights as Christmas officially arrives in the city.
Over 400 trees which line Paris' most famous street, the Champs Elysees, are twinkling after the Christmas lights were switched on on Monday.
Loads of people turned out to watch the switch being flicked and the lights will stay sparkling until 10 January.
The thousands of tiny lights are fitted with special low-energy bulbs.
