Lots of schools in the UK have had to close their doors during 2009 to try to prevent the spread of swine flu.
12-year-old Kaya lives in Turkey where ALL the country's schools had to be closed to stop pupils from passing the disease to other people.
Here's his story.
"We were on a school trip when people from our school started getting sick. One girl caught it and when we went to our hotel she passed it on to everyone, including our teacher.

My best friend caught it. We were all playing a game and he suddenly went pale. His temperature was really high and he started to vomit.
He was really really ill but he is fine now. There were no serious cases and most people are back to school now.
ALL schools closed
The infection was mainly in the fourth and seventh grades of the school. There were at least 20 children in my grade who had swine flu.
When we came back from our first swine flu break fewer than half the school were there. My parents told me that we were going to have a swine flu break. That meant the council closed all the schools in Turkey because there were lots of cases of swine flu.
Extra homework
When we went back things were normal, but there is a lot more homework now because we have missed so much time in class. Because we had 14 days off school we might have to go to school on a Saturday.
At school we all have to carry a pack of hand wipes with us and alcohol sanitising gel. I think this is a bit over the top as at my old school in London there was one bottle of gel which we all shared and just used a tiny squirt each.
Face masks
The catering staff all have to wear face masks when they serve us. This makes me feel a bit weird. Like I am a virus and they want to stay away from me. The teachers don't have to wear the masks though.
At first it was a bit boring to be at home for two weeks. I just did all the homework I needed to do and then I kept myself busy with computer games. I am happy to be back at school now and seeing all my friends again."
