Andy Murray is through to the quarter finals of Wimbledon after a thrilling match against Stanislas Wawrinka.

The pair practice together so know each other's game very well. In fact, they were so well balanced, the match went to a nail-biting five sets.

Andy Murray looked like being outplayed early on, but the battling Scot didn't give in, and won 2-6 6-3 6-3 5-7 6-3.

The game went on to 10.38pm, the latest ever finish at Wimbledon, and the first under floodlights.

Fans who stayed to the end were treated to a nerve-wracking showdown, with both players breaking each other's serve only to be broken themselves.

"It was pretty special, I thought Stan played a great match," Murray told BBC Sport afterwards. "The standard he set at the start was tough to keep up with."

Andy is next facing wildcard player Juan Carlos Ferrero in the quarter final.
