Winter weather turns warmer

Crocuses are flowering very early because of the warm weather
Have you noticed it's not as chilly as normal for this time of year? Well, you're not alone, as it's been the second warmest winter on record.

According to weather experts, the average temperature for Britain this winter is 5.47C, well above normal.

And in England and Wales, the last 12 months have been the warmest ever.

Scientists say although you can't blame one warm winter on climate change, global warming caused by us may be partly to blame.

But people in the south-east who had a water shortage last year can relax a bit, as most areas of Britain had above average rainfall this winter.
