Cycling is a great way of getting around. It's fun, keeps you fit, and is environmentally friendly.

But it's also important to stay safe, so as well as getting the right safety gear and making sure your bike's ready for the road, it's best to get some proper training.

Cycling courses take place all the time, so find out when you can get some training by asking your school, your local council's road safety officer, or phoning the National Cycle Training Helpline on 0844 736 8460 / 8461.
