What is asthma?

Asthma Asthma affects the lungs and the way we breathe.

It is not a new disease. It was known to doctors in ancient China and Greece.

Today, around 100 million people in the world have asthma.

An asthma attack happens when tubes carrying oxygen to lungs get narrow and inflamed.

This makes it difficult to breathe.
