Hague reacts to Europe backlash

The Conservatives are facing a backlash from Europe after David Cameron's promise that powers would never again be transferred away from Britain without a referendum.
France's minister for Europe, Pierre Lellouche, said the Tories were "castrating" British influence in Brussels, and described their stance as "pathetic".
Shadow foreign secretary William Hague said he had taken the comments in his stride.
