A suicide car bomber has attacked a police checkpoint in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, killing at least 10 people, officials say.
Another 25 people were injured when the attacker blew up his explosives-laden car in the Pushta Khara area as policemen went to search it.
Peshawar has been regularly targeted by militants in recent weeks as the army continues its offensive against the Taliban in the South Waziristan.
Neil Bowdler reports.
