Some 2,000 American and Israeli military personnel are carrying out a joint missile defence exercise.

The Israelis have not ruled out a pre-emptive strike against Iran in the face of its nuclear ambitions and recent testing of a long-range missile which could reach Israel.

Paul Wood reports from Jerusalem.
