Thousands of people may have died in remote village areas when a powerful earthquake struck Sumatra last week, emergency workers and officials fear.

The BBC's Alastair Leithead's has visited one of the remote villages damaged by the powerful earthquake. Roads to the village are blocked and residents are without power.
