Jools is joined by one of the world's greatest rappers, Jay-Z, who is currently at the top of his game with the release of his new album The Blueprint 3, from which he performs a few tracks.
Also in the studio to perform a few of their gems are the Foo Fighters, who are about to celebrate their career so far with a greatest hits album. Norah Jones returns to showcase numbers from her new album the Fall, and, fresh from being a Policeman again, Sting plays a song from his new album If On a Winter's Night.
At the other end of the scale sales-wise, but just as essential to the show's mix, Oxford's unsigned indie-folk faves Stornoway are making their Later... debut after enchanting all who saw them on BBC's Glastonbury coverage, and a unique talent from Montreal, Erik Mongrain, displays his distinctive lap-tapping technique. Jools also chats with legendary drummer Ginger Baker about his new autobiography Hellraiser.
