In school your child will learn to listen and to apply their knowledge and understanding through the interrelated skills of performing, composing and appraising. They will:
 
 

Sing songs in unison and two parts

Perform and compose using their voices, tuned and untuned percussion and other instruments

Be encouraged to respond to music through movement, verbal comment and description and other art

Be expected to review their work and to make changes and improvements

Learn about notation

Practise, rehearse and perform for an audience

Explore the opportunities afforded by ICT
